Warpaint is an all-female Californian indie band formed in 2004, and The Fool is the bands follow-up to the critically acclaimed EP Exquisite Corpse.

The bands sound can be described as ethereal/hypnotic rock music or psychedelic indie music, although this album is not as experimental as say the Flaming Lips's Embryonic. The drum and bass have certain post punk influences in the rhythm sections, there is a lot of reverb present on the layered guitar and the overall feel of the album is pretty dark.

This album is certainly a grower, and does not deliver any catchy songs but stick to it, because this band is most definitely worth it!
